Readers are able to read samples of books, and then ultimately purchase their book in the electronic format to be read on a variety of e-reading devices. Authors are in control of their price and how much of their book they would like to share for free. Readers are also able to review books. Smashwords can handle a large variety of e-book formats that is handy for those with differing e-reading devices. They recommend that you upload your book in the Microsoft Word format, or as a Rich Text file. Smashwords is an excellent site if you have completely finished writing and are looking for a way to distribute and sell your completed book.
